Canadian Conservative Blogosphere Under Attack

Post below recycled from STACLU .

Here is a quick summary of what's going on by Five Feet of Fury, one of the blogs being sued:
Richard “The Boy Named Sue” Warman has finally filed his statement of claim.

Canada’s busiest litigant, serial “human rights” complainant and — the guy Mark Steyn has called “Canada’s most sensitive man” — Richard Warman is now suing his most vocal critics — including me.

The suit names:

• Ezra Levant (famous for his stirring YouTube video of his confrontation with the Canadian Human Rights tribunal after he published the “Mohammed Cartoons”)
• FreeDominion.ca (Canada’s answer to FreeRepublic.com)
• Kate McMillan of SmallDeadAnimals.com
• Jonathan Kay of the National Post daily newspaper and its in-house blog
• and me, Kathy Shaidle of FiveFeetOfFury.com

Richard Warman used to work for the notorious Human Rights Commission, which runs the “kangaroo courts” who’ve charged Mark Steyn with “flagrant Islamophobia.”

Richard Warman has brought almost half these cases single-handledly, getting websites he doesn’t like shut down, and making tens of thousands of tax free dollars in “compensation” out of web site owners who can’t afford to fight back or don’t even realize they can.

The province of British Columbia had to pass a special law to stop Richard Warman from suing libraries because they carried books he didn’t approve of.

Richard Warman also wants to ban international websites he doesn’t like from being seen by Canadians.

The folks named in his new law suit are the very bloggers who have been most outspoken in their criticism of Warman’s methods…

…We can only fight this man’s attempt to silence conservative opinion if we have international support: both moral and financial.

This lawsuit will cost me at least $30,000 to fight.

And fight it I will.

Michelle Malkin has all the info you need to help these guys out.

My wife is Canadian, she has been living here in the U.S. for only four years now and she has done a complete 180 on her beleifs. She is now more conservative then me. We were on our way home from visiting her family in Ontario this past monday and she said "I can't imagine living there any more". My point is that when people are given the truth most will see the light.

The Boston Tea Party was a small group of men defying a distant King.

This is much bigger: our FIRST popular exposure to fur-trading Canada EVER: a simple case of mere chattering class limousine liberals to humiliate? A few weirdos who built castles of cards before the Net smashed TV?

Canada's economy *is* trade and tourism with the USA since there are no other countries that have roads to Canada, no matter how badly Russia wants to dig a tunnel to Alaska.

The LAST thing Canada now wants is NEGATIVE attention from normal, non-chattering citizens of the USA. If you didn't notice after 9/11, we get a little ANGRY at people who impose savage values upon THE LONGEST RUNNING FREE CULTURE IN HISTORY.

Intellectuals, despite their emotional motivations, remain vulnerable to intellectual retorts and the bewildering backlash of public opinion.

Even in Canada, it only costs a few THOUSAND dollars to mount a defense in court. That's easy to whip up on the Net. Instapundit linked to it. That's NINE MILLION PEOPLE, on DAY ONE. Suddenly, instead of war, we have a culture war standoff, of uncomfortable victims vs. comfortable fascists.

The COST of an effective lawyer has a threshold, followed by massively diminishing returns. A team of lawyers only create delays, which MASSIVELY angers DRAFTED jury members who just want to go home.

The Church, at the height of its power, carelessly trod upon science, and LOST, doubly. It was using the printing press (media) as a means of printing money (PAID printed "indulgences" to visit brothels). But then followers of a guy named Luther printed, instead of black ink on paper, COLOR (!) sheets of bare-assed people passing gas at church doors, and a guy named Galileo refused to shut up fast enough for the Church to catch up.

From my research, Canada doesn't really have a First Amendment, except for religious crap. It's all implied and softened down.

Guess what? Canada never rebelled against their French owners (does France still have a Queen?) so everything up there is soft-sided. Besides, they live in the damned ARCTIC!!!

Canada? Pffft! There is NO "pursuit of happiness" in their founding documents, which originated in the TWENTIETH instead of EIGHTEENTH century!

You underestimate us, sir. We have a threshold, beyond which nobody shall tread, for at least a hundred and two years. The USA never backed down from a good fight, be our leaders Left or Right.

Since the GNP of New York and California dwarfs that of Australia and Canada combined, you duty is merely to help us in the USA notice injustice.

being Canadian myself. I don't approve of the liberals and their ideologies.
Its people like those who waste money from tax payers.
Richard Warman is one of those political douche bags, people like those shouldn't be allowed to walk, much less be allowed in open public.
Despite of popular opinion, Canada is not paved with streets of gold.
Canada was used a bureaucratic state, where we used to know political idiots, now its pro-homo state. where pedophiles and countless sick-ass perverts run rampant. Police state, where Liberachies goose step daily.

personally, I don't want Canada joining the North American Union.
Much less merge with the US.
as for Richard Warman, he's doing for the money, he's a self hating man. No wonder why he's suing.

I feel sorry for Canadians who are conservative.
I dislike leftists with the utmost passion.

They are vile bigoted cretins. I guess what's happening in Canada is a foreshadowing of what may be to come if we in the USA let the left gain control of the entire government.

I don't leftists of either stripe Republican or Democrat.
