Black racism

We read:
"Given Barack Obama's historic run for the Oval Office, African American-themed cable network TV One plans to break from its usual entertainment programming to provide extensive coverage of the Democratic National Convention in August.

"Sen. Barack Obama running for president is a huge deal for TV One as it is for the African American community," said Johnathan Rodgers, president and CEO of TV One, a channel in about 40 million homes. "African Americans have fallen in love with his candidacy, his family . we will be covering the democratic convention all the time."

But John McCain shouldn't expect the same treatment. The network doesn't plan any coverage of the Republican Convention.

African American-themed cable network TV isn't being racist. If anything they're only being one-half racist

After all Mr Obama is half-white and proud as a peacock of it. Hasn't he admitted he had a white grandma? I know the Reverend Jackson would like to cut his nuts off. If he does maybe he'll display them on TV so we can see if they are multi-colored.

I guess the white part must be from the waist down judging from his pictures. Sort of like an egg timer after the 3-minutes are up.

Geez, if he is "white" from the waist down no wonder his wife has the temperment of a wasp. She got cheated out of the one thing a black man can drag (OOPs, meant brag of course) about.

At least they're honest. They make no bones about being racist. In fact, they boast about it. Now if the mainstream media would be as honest about their agendas in reporting news.

it's commercial, if you don't like what you see turn the channel

Will the "Fairness Doctrine" apply?

Anonymous said...

It's also a clear violation of the FCC's Equal Time clause which apply's to all TV networks!

How the fairness doctrine isn't being implemented here is ridiculous.

The Fairness Doctrine waas done away with during the Reagan Administration. The idiot Dems would like to bring it back because it would have the effect of doing away with guys like Limbaugh. Nobody watches Air America but Rush has millions of listeners and watchers.

The "Equal Time" rules of the FCC only apply to "broadcast" TV. The Cable Content providers (of which TV One is one) are under no such restrictions (as far as I am aware).

The "Fairness Doctrine" is currently defunct, and even the Supreme Court ruled that it actually squelches debate because of the tendency of stations to avoid controversial issues rather than moderate the debate (it's too hard to keep EVERY side happy).

We usually like to go around touting ourselves as a "nation of laws", which is technically true since we have more laws than people! But it's also a joke since more often than not, we lack the will to enforce those laws.

No, what we are is a "nation of fools"! And this story is clear evidence of that fact.
