"Coolest" is now a bad word

The global temperature has been cooling for the last couple of years -- with record cold weather being reported incessantly from numerous places worldwide -- so how do global warmers deal with that? By substituting "less warm" for "cool"! So instead of saying that 2008 will be the coolest year of the last 10 years, they say that it is the "least warm"! I kid you not. See below:
"This year is on track to be about the 10th warmest globally since records began in 1850 but gaps in Arctic data mean the world may be slightly underestimating global warming, a leading scientist said on Tuesday. A natural cooling of the Pacific Ocean known as La Nina kept a lid on temperatures in 2008 despite an underlying warming trend, said Phil Jones, director of the Climatic Research Unit at the University of East Anglia in England. "This year is about 10th," he told Reuters in a telephone interview. "La Nina in the Pacific lasted longer than we envisaged."

Jones's unit is one of the main sources of global climate data for the United Nations. The warmest year on record was 1998, followed by 2005 and 2003, with other years this century closely bunched. Tenth place would make 2008 the least warm since 1999.

It takes a bit of seeing it through the propaganda but they are actually admitting that global warming stopped in 1998 -- which it did.

Global Warming. Bah. back in the 70's, it was Global Cooling. Scientists can't even agree. So some polar bears have to move or they die. Isn't that what the Evolutionists call natural selection and adaptation?

It isn't "Global Warming" anymore - it's "Climate Change," a rather redundant moniker, if you think about it.

They change terms, they change predictions, they change everything but the shrillness of "give up your industrialization or we're all going to die!"

This is all about money not saving us from weather changes.

While I always enjoy a good global warming conspiracy I do have to point out that, scientifically speaking, "cool" is not a real concept. Temperature is measured as heat, a measurement of the occurrence of molecular activity. To say something is cold is to really say something has less heat...so it does not surprise or bother me to here “a cooling effect” expressed this way from a scientist, the real type who tend to be very specific and accurate about what they say.

You're right Stan. Global warming has been replaced by climate change. Renaming things to make them more palatable is one of the Lefts favorite tactics, as in replacing socialized medicine with universal healthcare. If the people weren't so stupid, they would see through these "scientific" scams.

Greens are really "watermelons". They say and look Green on the outside, but when you look at the inside, the details of what they are doing, all you see is Red!

Why let pesky facts get in the way. This cooling trend is due to guess what: Global Warming! What else?

Does that mean we can't say "Obama is the coolest?"

FYI - Prof Jones is a fully paid up member of the British green party and has been a dyed in the wool "warmer" from the outset
