King of the hate business is a Leftist

A good comment from a Leftist about the SPLC:
"What is the arch-salesman of hate-mongering, Mr. Morris Dees of the Southern Poverty Law Center doing now? He’s saying that the election of a black president proves his point. Hate is on the rise! Send money!

Without skipping a beat, the mailshot moguls, who year after year make money selling the notion there’s been a right resurgence out there in the hinterland with massed legions of haters, have used the election of a black president to say that, yes, hate is on the rise and America ready to burst apart at the seams, with millions of extremists primed to march down Main Street draped in Klan robes, a copy of Mein Kampf tucked under one arm and a Bible under the other, available for sneak photographs from minions of Chip Berlet, another salesman of the Christian menace, ripely endowed with millions to battle the legions of the cross.”

Cockburn often takes a different line from other Leftists. He is a global warming skeptic, for instance. I wonder if he was known as "HotC*ck" at school? Pretty likely. His surname is usually pronounced as "Cobern", however, and you do sometimes see people who spell it that way too.

WORD OF THE DAY
RIGHTS, n.

An element of human existence that cannot be expanded by government fiat; you’re born with a full compliment of rights so all the Nanny State can do is take them away.

You're right mcnasty, except the nanny state has the power to take everything, as is becoming more obvious every day. And all the talking (and voting) in the world won't stop them. There's only one way left to get our country back, and it ain't with words! And soon, there won't be any America to take back. That's the true reason for the open border mentality of the elcted crooks. Dilute the population to where they can no longer think. Like now.

Just remember this. When you decide to rise up against tyranny, ther will be more of them than there are of you. Subversion is often the safer & more effective route. If enough people think as you do, then the subversive acts become so commonplace that the authorities soon fail to enforce the laws. i.e. the marijuana laws. So many people ignore the laws that unless one is being stupid , most cops don't want to hassel with the paperwork for misdemeanor posession. Being from the southern United States, maybe I have just become used to the idea of not taking Washington too seriously.

Point well taken. But i wouldn't take the goings on in DC so lightly. They're doing a great deal of damage, and that's just the stuff we know about.

As long as there those with the herd mentality, it's hard to imagine anything stopping themfrom doing what they do best; screw up other people's lives.
