Heh! Fired teacher hangs Obama effigy in classroom

Amusing to see how the authorities deal with that. Nooses regularly produce great convulsions so this should produce a real riot. But will it? Teachers are generally Left-leaning so I expect this guy will be in a protected class
"A teacher at a failing Rhode Island school where he and all his colleagues were fired hung an effigy of President Barack Obama in his classroom, apparently in reaction to Obama’s support of extreme measures to ensure accountability in schools.

The teachers union on Thursday condemned the effigy, discovered Monday in the teacher’s third-floor classroom at Central Falls High School, saying it was wrong and cannot be condoned under any circumstances.

The effigy was found in the unidentified teacher’s classroom by Superintendent Frances Gallo, Nicole Shaffer of the Rhode Island Department of Education told The Associated Press. Shaffer said the department would not have any further comment.”

Yawn.

The Left will do what the Left will do and get away with it, Life to the Left is relative without moral absolutes, so they can justify anything as acceptable or not as it suits their needs and agendas.

Why do teachers have this fear of being held accountable? And just how 'extreme' are the measures to ensure accountability? Waterboarding? Fingers or hands being chopped off? Just about every other profession requires accountability from its professionals; maybe teachers aren't the professionals they would have the world believe?

The very last thing teachers unions want is accountability of any kind, or to any degree. Why? Because that would uncover many, many unqualified, incompetent teachers that everyone knows are present in the system.

Everyone knows the public education system in this country is a total failure. For years, teachers, and especially their unions, have been blaming the kids, the books, the schools, the desks, the environment, second-hand smoke, global warming, and just about everything and anything else they could think of. The one thing that's never blamed, is the teachers. Why? Less teachers = less union dues!

Some day, (maybe) parents will wake-up and realize that.

I wonder if it was a black teacher who perpetuated the act. People immediately assume it was a white teacher.

I recall reading somewhere, I think in John Taylor Gatto's "An Underground History of American Education", that no less than Socrates said that teaching should NEVER become a profession, as the spread of knowledge was far too important for any group of people to restrict. Further, professionals have an interest in making what is easy SEEM difficult.
