No "Islamic extremism" in Obamaland

We read:
"President Barack Obama's advisers will remove religious terms such as "Islamic extremism" from the central document outlining the U.S. national security strategy and will use the rewritten document to emphasize that the United States does not view Muslim nations through the lens of terror, counterterrorism officials said.

The change is a significant shift in the National Security Strategy, a document that previously outlined the Bush Doctrine of preventative war and currently states: "The struggle against militant Islamic radicalism is the great ideological conflict of the early years of the 21st century."

The officials described the changes on condition of anonymity because the document still was being written, and the White House would not discuss it. But rewriting the strategy document will be the latest example of Obama putting his stamp on U.S. foreign policy...

That shift away from terrorism has been building for a year, since Obama went to Cairo, Egypt, and promised a "new beginning" in the relationship between the United States and the Muslim world. The White House believes the previous administration based that relationship entirely on fighting terror and winning the war of ideas....

Public opinion polls also showed consistent improvement in U.S. sentiment within the Muslim world last year, although the viewpoints are still overwhelmingly negative, however.

Peter Feaver, a Duke University political scientist and former Bush adviser, is skeptical of Obama's engagement effort. It "doesn't appear to have created much in the way of strategic benefit" in the Middle East peace process or in negotiations over Iran's nuclear ambitions, he said.

If Obama is removing religious references, are we back to George Bush's "War on Terror"? How amusing!

I guess from now on I'm gonna refer to the president as Orwellian Obama or Obama the Orwellian because like Big Brother, he loves renaming things. Remember the Global War on Terror? He changed it to Overseas Contingency Operation and now I think it's been changed again.

Yeah, so?

Of course no "war on terror". There is no terrorism to fight after all if there are no extremists to use it.
Therefore there is no reason to fight, the US should pay reparations to all the peoples' of the friendly Muslim world who were so wronged by the US over the last several hundred years, and the US will invite a comission of Muslim clerics to coordinate the installation of the Khaliphate in Washington DC (to be renamed in the honour of the Ayatollah Khomeini).

Britain made this sort of "word" change about a year ago. Have they been treated better by the radicals any better since then?

"Personally, i hope there are another 10 or 15 9/11 attacks, because it's going to take that much to make the people wake-up and realize what they've done with their votes"

---I don't wish that, I saw what the last 9/11 did to airports and how flying became an experience in torture (inside and outside the plane).

You got another terrorist attack and the government could bring back the draft, raise taxes, invade our privacy (more than they do already), and come up with all kinds of draconian measures against us.

Understanding your enemy is the first step in dealing with threats. Appearently, the Obama administration doesn't think religion has anything to do with terrorist organization's motivations. Removing the reference to Islam does not change the fact that Islam is the driving factor in the majority of threats to the US. Obama must be part ostritch.

A rose by any other name would smell as sweet. An Islamic extremist by any other name would still be as hostile. An act of predatory war by any other name is still a depredation by enemies of the entire human race.

Um..., you're a little late, aren't you? Except for the draft, which his leftist backers would never permit, all the rest has already been one.

QUOTABLE QUOTES

"The government has no source of revenue, except the taxes paid by the producers. To free itself—for a while—from the limits set by reality, the government initiates a credit con game on a scale which the private manipulator could not dream of. It borrows money from you today, which is to be repaid with money it will borrow from you tomorrow, which is to be repaid with money it will borrow from you day after tomorrow, and so on. This is known as “deficit financing.” It is made possible by the fact that the government cuts the connection between goods and money. It issues paper money, which is used as a claim check on actually existing goods—but that money is not backed by any goods, it is not backed by gold, it is backed by nothing. It is a promissory note issued to you in exchange for your goods, to be paid by you (in the form of taxes) out of your future production."

Words define how we think and perceive. By changing names or definitions, we are changing the way people understand the issues. This is nothing more than political manipulation of the masses. It's nothing new, we just see it quicker because of the Internet's pervasiveness.

The fact remains that President Obama is not a leader. He has no military experience, he has no business experience, and he has no economics experience. he is an intelligent man, but he is using his intelligence to manipulate this country into something very chilling.

And to all Christians: Watch your backs. Extreme persecution is coming that will be greater than many can imagine.

---Leftists backers could sell the draft by saying that there are not enough middle-class, rich, and white people in the military. I have seen that argument before, luckily most leftists don't want to serve in the military, but you never know what Obama is capable of. I pray the republicans take over this November, we need to bring back sanity to the government.
