Big-league sport in America very selective about "hate speech"

We read:
"Conservative radio maven Rush Limbaugh was denied a piece of the NFL St. Louis Rams last year when complaints about his racial opinions made him unacceptable as an owner. Now, website RespectTheGreatGame.com is wondering why the same sports leagues that rejected Limbaugh are employing liberal agitprop meister Keith Olbermann-- whose blog appears on the MLB.com website and who hosts NBC’s NFL coverage on Sunday nights.

They point out that Olbermann (who features a Worst Person In The World segment) regularly demonized former U.S. president George Bush with Nazi references, has objectified women “a big, mashed-up bag of meat with lipstick on it” and described Massachusetts senator Scott Brown as “an irresponsible, homophobic, racist, reactionary, ex-nude model, tea-bagging supporter of violence against women and against politicians with whom he disagrees.”

Is it sarcasm when Olbermann says it but hate speech when Limbaugh tweaks the icons of the left?

A double standard? Gee, who'd a thunk it. Limbaugh may not realize it, but they did him a big favor, given the almost daily scandals in the NFL.

I haven't watched a baseball game since those spoiled little rats went on strike in the 90s. Baseball is dead to me.

4:22 - this article is about a football team, not a baseball team! LOL

Olberman is a jerk.

If you had bothered to read it, you would have found out it is about both football and baseball. Olberman writes a baseball blog.

Plain and simple, yes. Yes it is.

When they decided to deny a chance at ownership to Limbaugh because of his politics it was inevitable that their decision would come back to haunt them. The real surprise here is that it's taken so long.
