She tried to beat the double standard and lost

Laura Schlessinger thought she could use the N-word while DISCUSSING racial abuse but even that was not allowed. She mentioned that black males used it all the time so felt that she too had some right to use it -- but conservative whites are NEVER allowed to use it -- so she lost
"Talk show host Dr Laura Schlessinger is fighting back following her infamous use of the 'N' word on her syndicated radio show last week. The conservative pundit used the word 11 times during a conversation with an African American caller named Jade.

The incident set off a fire storm of criticism and Schlessinger was forced to apologise. Shortly afterwards her show, The Dr. Laura Program, was cancelled.

After appearing on Larry King Live to discuss the incident, Schlessinger sat down to an in-depth interview with the Hollywood Reporter and made it clear she felt she was being unfairly censored.

To rational people, it was clear she used the word to make a point. But rational people are not the ones going after her scalp. Instead, and as usual, it's the race-pimps and race-hustlers, those people who have lined their pockets and bloated their already-bloated egos by screaming racism every time they see a chance to bring down a conservative, (especially a White one) or better yet, get on TV and make some money. For many blacks, and their bleeding-heart enablers, race has become a mega-buck industry. Another thing that is trying to get through the media's smoke and mirrors, is the "strong possibility" that Dr. Laura was intentionally set-up.

The professional race-pimps see nothing wrong with allowing one specific group of people to have their own language, while demonizing and destroying anyone else for using that same language. The "fact" that most black people can't complete a sentence without using the word nigger doesn't seem to be relevant to them. Of course, if they did fine it relevant, they would lose out on all those legal settlements ($$) and TV air time.

Is racism a real issue? It sure is, but the finger of guilt is always pointed at the wrong people. Why? Because that's where the profit ($$) is. I just hope she doesn't go crawling on her hands and knees like the weakling wimp Imus did.

It's sickening, Dr. Laura has a huge audience, she's very popular on the radio, it's the forces of supply and demand that should determine whether a show is canceled or not. It's just like TV, I was a huge fan of Dirty. Sexy. Money. but the ratings were crap, so they got canceled.

Amazingly, in the leftist entertainment industry, racial intimidation has even more influence than profits. First, it was Imus who was brought to his knees, now Dr. laura, even though both were "huge" money-makers for their stations. So much for backbone.

I don't get it, I mean, who's gonna replace Dr. Laura that can get the same ratings she can? It would be like firing Rush Limbaugh.

The leftist entertainment industry needs to go bankrupt. Fox News should go into the movie business, I wouldn't mind spending $10 on fair and balanced movies.

Why do people continue to use the expression, "the N-word"? "Nigger" might be a racial slur now (though it wasn't originally), but it is not an obscene words, and there is no reason not to write it in full.

Ahh, apparently our in-house asshole (anon 5:13) is awake. Obviously, common sense has caused he/she/it to awaken.

This post, along with several others was covered by the teachings of my mother when I was just a small child....

"Sticks and stones may break my bones but words can never hurt me."

Words only have power when society gives them power. The problem is societal "feelings" about words and phrases change with time.
Honky, cracker, whitey, white boy, etc. are all words some find just as offensive, but you never hear about law suits over their use.
