Obama admin. threatening Health Insurance companies for telling the Truth

We read:
"President Barack Obama's top health official on Thursday put the insurance industry on notice that the administration will not tolerate blaming premium hikes on the new health overhaul law.

"There will be zero tolerance for this type of misinformation and unjustified rate increases," Health and Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius said in a letter to the insurance lobby.

"Simply stated, we will not stand idly by as insurers blame their premium hikes and increased profits on the requirement that they provide consumers with basic protections," Sebelius said.

How are the companies going to provide the extra benefits mandated by Obamacare without charging more?

Yes, it's kind of like when they wanted all those companies to show up and tell congress why the end of tax cuts and the mandatory health care would hike their expenses to the extreme. I believe that was about a year ago.

This administration does *not* like the truth to be told to the sheeple!!

Well, so much for the First Amendment. Obviously, the Marxist-in-Chief has decided that the only free speech is that which he, or his Obamunist worshippers approve of. Now that's what i call, change.

CHANGE AND HOPE!

The only change we should hope for is that the majority of American voters start thinking for themselves for a change. We must hope they change from weak, mindless, gullible fools who allow highly-biased talking heads on TV to tell them what and how to think. And lets hope that some day, the American people will be smart enough to understand that, in spite of what the professional liars tell them, change is NOT always good, and change is NOT always for the better.

Here's where the rubber meets the road. If the rate increases are justified, the insurance companies must stand their ground, justify, and then defend their rates (or else, just as in prison, they will become Obama's biatches). On the other hand, if the increases are not actuarially justified, the insurance companies will lose what credibility they have thus far retained as ObamaCare sweeps the land.

Someone has to pay for the increased coverage. It will either be tax payers or policy holders. In any case, the consumer gets screwed.

Pelosi said if you want to know what is in the bill you have to pass it. It was passed and we still don't know what is in the bill, but Obama is pissed because the insurance companies can read the bullshit he signed into law and are trying to weather the storm. Will he bail them out like the banks after the storm hits? Hell no, he won't be around.
Time to limit legislation to within the presidents tenure, not to become a cancer after the adminstration has passed.
I would suggest the a 2/3 majority in both houses be required to pass some legislation but we have seen how the Dems are like drunken sailors in that position. Perhaps some legislation should be approved by referendum after it has passed Congress. If it affects the people then they should have the final say. Last Saturday of the month could be referendum day. Registered voters only.

The reason for them making more profits now is obvious. They need more capital (grown through profit) to cover the increased benefits pool, which will increase their costs. While we may see a short term rise in their profits, it will be gone as soon as the newly eligible beneficiaries start making claims, with no lifetime cap.
