Two British men arrested just for for watching 9/11 Koran burning video

We read:
"In a disturbing development, Northumbria Police in Gateshead last week arrested two men after they watched and shared a video on Facebook of a man burning the Koran in the US during the recent 9/11 commemoration at Ground Zero in New York.

The men were drinking in the Bugle pub, Leam Lane, Gateshead, when they were arrested after watching and sharing the videos.

Around 30 people staged a protest outside Gateshead police station on Wednesday evening, the 15th of September, following the arrests.

The group stood outside the doors to the police station with an England flag for about three hours watched by a contingent of uniformed officers. The protesters had gathered at around 8pm after the two men were arrested earlier in the day on 'suspicion of inciting racial hatred'.

The protest continued until around 11pm when the two arrested men were bailed pending further enquiries.

Youtube have now removed all footage of Derek Fenton burning the Koran. Of course, if he had burnt the Stars and Stripes (or any other flag or religious book) the video would still be available. Double standards by Youtube, perhaps?

Youtube is full of videos of people burning the American Flag, the Holy Bible, and a host of other "sacred" objects. The difference is, Americans and Christians nowadays don't generally blow themselves up to punish non-believers or behead them.

Where's the Inquisition when you need them?

Youtube is just a bunch of cowards.

So now in the UK watching someone burn the koran is 'inciting racial hatred'. Doesn't matter what signs encouraging violence muslims display at protests because they know that they are safe. How much longer before UK citizens whose family date back to the middle ages are deported under racial intolerance laws.

As an Australian I would welcome them with open arms on condition that there is no actual racial intolerance involved.

For those who haven't yet tuned into Pat Condell on You Tube (UK comedian, future politician?
http://www.youtube.com/profile?user=patcondell#g/u) please do, as he tells it like it is on the ground. He is the voice of reason in a wilderness of disruption.

I've been saying for some time now that soon, Britain, because of it's "odd" immigration policy and it's obvious addiction to political correctness which has allowed radical Muslims to almost take complete control of the country, would simply become a base for radical Islam, but i didn't think it would happen this fast. It now appears the British govt, (the police) is "openly and aggressively" protecting the radicals at the expense of it's own citizens. Any people who stand for this, (as in the US) deserve exactly what they get.

I went to YouTube and among the numerous videos of the American flag being burnt, one of the first I came to was a group of Muslims in London burning an American flag on September 11.

Stan B is right, YouTube IS a bunch of cowards.

The Republic of Ireland still has an active film censor board.

Does that mean if you watch porn in the UK you can be arrested for inciting rape?

The possibilities boggle the mind.
