Health board nixes butt billboards

We read:
"KENNEWICK, Wash. — A Tri-Cities health board reversed itself Wednesday and voted against endorsing a colon cancer awareness campaign that uses billboards saying, “What’s up your butt?”

The Tri-City Herald reports the Benton Franklin Health District commissioners responded to complaints the ads are in poor taste. The butt billboards have been displayed in Yakima to raise colorectal cancer awareness and encourage people to get screened for the disease.

The billboards were obviously effective in getting attention and were in a good cause so it seems narrow-minded to ban them

The first sign of a "supposedly" free socisty's decay is when they do away with majority rule. When you allow one person to alter the lives of thousands, perhaps millions, the end is in sight. And to the weak who allow this to happen, you deserve what you get.

I think it's funny and an attention getter.

Yes, vulgarity always attracts attention.
Majority rule can also be called mob-rule, that is why there is a Constitution to prevent "tyranny of the majority"!! Clearly many Americans don't deserve the Constitution that history and good-luck gave them!

Why do you equate majority rule with mob-rule and tyranny? Are not our elected crooks and liars chosen by a majority of votes? Does not the SCOTUS decide by majority vote? And doesn't the congress create laws that affect us all by a majority? Yet, i see no mob-rule or tyranny in any of those. Stupidity? Corruption? Incompetence? You bet, but no mob rule.

As in the adage of two wolves and a sheep voting on what's for dinner; a pre-existing Constitution is to prevent a majority from oppressing a minority.
