Orgasms all round in response to a graffito

Such graffiti have in the past been found to be the work of blacks or Leftists trying to get a reaction. And whoever put up the graffito below certainly stimulated a huge outburst of righteousness.

Just a few excerpts below from the procession of hysterical responses. It obviously made everybody involved feel wonderful
At approximately 12:30 AM on the morning of Saturday, November 12, 2011, an undergraduate student at Williams College called the Campus Safety and Security after seeing written on the wall of an upperclass dormitory in permanent black marker, "All N*****s Must Die."

On Saturday evening, a group of approximately 70 student leaders met with Williams College President Adam Falk and Dean of Students Sarah Bolton to discuss the incident as well as to form a proper response to the incident. Following the meeting, students, faculty and staff marched to the Williamstown Police Department -- headquartered on the edge of campus -- to encourage the town's investigation of the hate crime.

In response to student reactions, the administration in conjunction with the faculty steering committee decided to cancel all classes, athletic practices and other extracurricular activities on Monday to host a college-wide meeting and lunch at 11 AM on the lawn outside the Paresky Student Center. In an email to Williams alumni, President Falk stated that the cancelled day of class would, "be an important day for us to unite to begin to heal from this terrible act and reaffirm that such harmful behavior has no place at Williams -- or anywhere."

During the meeting President Falk addressed the campus community and stated that "It was a terrible moment, and a terrible thing has happened," and called it a "horrible racist attack."

How amazingly pathetic.

The appropriate response should have simply been to scrub off the wall, charge the dorm for cleanup fees, and move on.

When I was a student, I actually went to college to study and learn. Frankly, I would have been very pissed that a day of classes THAT I PAID FOR had been cancelled due to this kind of Politically Correct bullsh*t.

Jon -

In response to your comment "Such graffiti have in the past been found to be the work of blacks or Leftists" I must question whether you are unfamiliar with the "Dan Rather" defense!

It's not whether the document or incident is fabricated - it's whether such fabrication is a reflection of "deeper truths." We KNOW that there are people who WOULD write such things, given a permanent marker and access to the dormitory! Don't we? Isn't it more important that we over-react to the idea that such feelings exist than that they may or may not have been written by someone who actually feels them?

It is rather silly to have a nuclear response to graffiti. Those who might want to get in touch with their feelings might say, "But, what about the children?"

It takes two seconds to paint over or clean off the graffiti. Instead the school gave the racist all sorts of free publicity and a day off from class. How stupid.

Stan,.... most people who reside in the real world already know those feelings and thoughts do exist in many people. Prejudice is a fact of human nature. We are (all) prejudice about something or someone to some degree. Ironically, in most cases, it's blacks who show far more prejudice against Whites than the other way around.

If the vandalism was done by a black or leftist simply to make their opponents look guilty, (an act that has been documented many times) would it not be of utmost importance to find that out? It should be to someone claiming to be seeking the truth.

When murderous threats are made in such student circles it may be seen as student foolishness and allowable under "free-speech", but when violence and murder result as in some US colleges or in the dreadful Oslo episode, then everyone says "why weren't the signs or suspicions acted on before it was too late" and the blame game begins!

I forget the exact words of the Dan Rather defense

Was it "truthiness"
