Bible incorrect

We read:
"International boxing star Manny Pacquiao denied allegations on Monday that he said homosexuals should be “put to death” after an interview that got him banned from one of the city’s most popular destinations.

Pacquiao was scheduled for an interview on Wednesday afternoon with Mario Lopez of TV’s “Extra” at The Grove in Los Angeles, but that appearance may be in jeopardy after comments he made to in response to President Obama’s endorsement of same-sex marriage last week.

The Philippine lawmaker told the National Conservative Examiner that he believes the Bible is very clear on the issue of homosexuality and that the President’s comments are in direct contradiction to Scripture.

“God’s words first,” Pacquiao told the Examiner. “Obey God’s law first before considering the laws of man.”

Granville Ampong, the writer of the article — but not Pacquiao himself — went on to quote a passage from the Old Testament book of Leviticus, which states that “If a man lies with a man as one lies with a woman, both of them have done what is detestable. They must be put to death; their blood will be on their own heads.”

That interview prompted a statement from Grove VP of corporate affairs Bill Reich which read, “Based on news reports of statements made by Mr. Pacquiao we have made it be known that he is not welcome at The Grove and will not be interviewed here now or in the future.

"Bible incorrect"

You're damn right.

Strange. Libs espouses that the Good Book is rifed with inaccuracies and should be treated as fiction, not even literature. So why would be of any matter what is quoted from fiction? Especially when a quote used is wrongfully attributed as it seems to be this case.

According to the book, being persecuted for your faith is one of the sure ways to gain exceptance into paradise. Although there may come a time when Christians are forced to once again seek worship in hiding. A church that expressed anti gay marriage ideas was recently threatend with being burned down by the gay community. http://www.theblaze.com/stories/church-receives-violent-threats-after-posting-two-men-are-friends-not-spouses-gay-marriage-sign/

What's funny is the fact that gays have made the word "tolerance" a major part of their activist strategy to force everyone to accept their lifestyle, yet they themselves have zero tolerance for anyone who disagrees with them. That stance has far more to do with Fascism than it does with tolerance.

Quite obviously, society is being pushed to a position where one can not even abide by ones own religious beliefs. Being faithful to your religious beliefs, as Billions of people around the world are, is now deemed "politically incorrect" and "offensive" by those who insist on you bending to their demands. And the overwhelming majority of that "pushing" is coming from radical gays and their leftist supporters in the US, a nation that has become so weak that it even lacks the will to stand-up for what it believes, assuming it still knows what it believes. Of course, in order for gays to get their demands adhered to, your beliefs must simply be ignored and swept aside. People like Hitler, Stalin, Mao, and Mussolini, would indeed be proud.

A.Levy, what you've said rings more truth than you know and should be a stark warning to those that would not learn from history. In every one of those despot listed, they've pitted one group against another so none could band into a challenge. What most fail to see let alone learn is that the "leader" always select a weak group they can't control as a target to villify. What's more dangerous for the followers is once a groups usefullness is waning, that group will be cast aside. The outcast has no where to go, no power to oppose (or assist) the leader, and become a "obsolete". The greatest irony for the outcast group is if it becomes an embarrressment for the leader; you could see those groups littered the graves of history. Thus those who fail to question an vett there leaders, will be doomed to repeat the same history.

The Books of the Bible contain fairy tales much like the Books of the Potter (Harry, that is)

The Bible should be in the Fantasy section in book stores.

Levi suggests gays should be tolerant of intolerance towards them by fundamental religionists! Way to go with the contradictions! But of course the Bible is full of contradictions, which of course makes it easy to cherry-pick justifications for any belief or opinion. While killing gays, why not kill anyone who works on the Sabbath, or eats pork! However, Jesus is supposed to have put love before the Hebrew Law, and then jewish-born Paul introduced his own ideas to add to the confusing mix!

If the good book is so much fantasy, why would it matter if anyone quotes it? Is the leftest belief in their own faith so fragile that they must assault a statement that they decried as mere fantasy? If that is the case, than such belief is itself grieveously flawed. In science, any hypothesis unable or willing to be scrouttenized or challenged should be discarded. The left always declares their thinking "logical and scientific".

That is the trouble with religious fantasies - they can be put into practice! Witness all the "holy" wars and persecutions throughout history - burning witches as justified in the Bible (or attacks on gays with like justification), or flying planes into skyscrapers justified by the Koran, etc.
Ideas inform actions.

People need to understand that Jesus is the new covenant with God. Jesus said let him with out sin cast the first stone. The old Mosaic law has been replaced by 2 commandments.. Both based on Love not hate and killing, that is islamic.

Sorry, I have to disagree. As a Fundamentalist Christian (as I often say - "I put the 'fun' in 'fundamental'. Unfortunately, I may have had something to do with the 'mental' part as well!"), I believe the Bible is 100% correct.

Again, the support for my arguement is made. If you examine the historical facts, most "religeous wars" have at its root power and wealth; not religion. It is true you will find some steeped in "religious fervor" (though the pc croud would crucify you for pointing out their cause dejore). The vast stake for most of these "holy wars" comes from the aristocracies and the ruling elites. The vast majority of the population did not care, but they were powerless to challenge. Here again those who will not challenge their leaders will be doomed to repeat history. Now take the case of an attempt at socialism/communism: the French Revolusion. Here again the attempt to create a "utopia" of "equality" degenerated to what they first opposed, an absolute emperor named Nepolean. Yet after a horrific defeat that decimated an entire generation, the French liberated Nepolean to try again! To this day Nepolean is still reveared in France (and he's not even French, he's Corsican). I'll not belabore the other socialist despots (Joe, Adolf, Mao, Po), but one must always be skeptical of any one promissing utopia and equality if you only place your life in their hands.

Annon 5:36 Then those who fake these hate crimes all need to get sent to prison and face nice big fines in the thousands of dollars

Flu-Bird, filing a fake police report can be a a mistimeaner or a felony and does carry a fine. However, will the charges be pressed? I think a crime is a crime, but that's just me, a man with the old way of thinking. I don't think progressive, where some are more equal than others.

Anon 11:03 "Witness all the "holy" wars and persecutions throughout history"

Stalin, Mao, and Pol-Pot were so superior to any Religious Leaders, eh? Oh wait - I guess it's better to kill out of pragmatism than religious zeal?

Anonymous said...

Dale spewed forth "I believe the Bible is 100% correct."

And you are 100% moron to believe a book of fairy tales.

Anonymous said...

Stan B makes the very dumb fallacious argument that two wrongs somehow excuse each other; or finding some other example to divert attention from the criticism at hand!

as we've seen in history, atheists murder in far greater numbers anything that religion has attempted.

Anonymous said...

Being a murderous dictator has nothing to do with atheism. It has all to do with total political control. Dictators do not want ANY competition from ANY source, such as religions. Eliminate your competition, plain and simple.

I would like to ask everyone two simple questions, where does a person's moral come from and why? I think if you follow those answers to the discussions and conclusions, you will find some interesting revelations about the person answering the questions.

9:32 AM - well said! I wish these religio-tards would pay attention! It's all about human hubris!

I caution those looking at the two questions I posted, thinking it favors one side. Failing to rigorously vetting your own arguement, will lead to failure. Hubris comes from both sides and cuts both ways.
