Democrats boo "God" and "Jerusalem"

Both might now be in the platform for the sake of political expediency but it is clear what Democrats actually think of them

Embarrassed by Republicans, Democrats amended their convention platform Wednesday to add a mention of God and declare that Jerusalem is the capital of Israel.

Many in the audience booed after the convention chairman, Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, ruled that the amendments had been approved despite the fact that a large group of delegates objected. He called for a vote three times before ruling.

The party reinstated language from the 2008 platform that said "we need a government that stands up for the hopes, values and interests of working people and gives everyone willing to work hard the chance to make the most of their God-given potential."

The language on Jerusalem states "it is and will remain the capital of Israel. The parties have agreed that Jerusalem is a matter for final status negotiations. It should remain an undivided city accessible to people of all faiths."

Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, a self-professed Marxist, was forced to acknowledge God by those controlling the Jonestown-style convention after their disrespect to God and Israel was uncovered. But for those paying attention, it clearly showed what the Demoncrats truly believe.

If the convention, and the things that are being said there, aren't enough to scare the American people, then they truly deserve another four years of the Marxist-in-Chief.

Expect this from the DEMONCRAT PARTY

The words “In the opinion of the chair, two-thirds having voted in the affirmative . . .” were on the teleprompter. What else would Villaraigosa have said? You know what happens to Dems when they go "off script."

Firstly: how is the "God" in "God-given" defined, as it has numerous definitions, and does the D or R party have an official definition of their own if only a "poetic" one.
Secondly: whether Jesusalem is the capital of Israel is factual so long as Israel as a state exists to have it as its capital, and is otherwise nothing to do with another country (unless outsiders are trying to make it otherwise).

Demacrats refuse to ecept a power greater then their own

It was interesting to see just how divided the Democrats are on the subject of God and Jerusalem. Since both were voted on at the same time it isn't apparent who objected to what, but it sounded to me like at least half of the delegates objected to changing the platform language.

My suspicions are confirmed. A majority of liberals do object to religion and support of Israel.

One more reason to vote Republican.

$5 bucks says they'll omit "under God" from the pledge of allegiance tonight.

It is rather sad that candidates cannot get elected unless they profess belief in an imaginary entity.

Can you think of a better reason for putting a bounty on the head of every atheist? In fact, we can turn hanging every one of them into a national pastime. Of course, there will be cash prizes given for the most atheists hanged.

It's environmentally friendly and we're creating jobs. What's not to like.

Murder is not a conservative value and DEFINITELY not a Christian own. Go away charlatan.

You really have no idea what was meant in that advice, which means you're not evil, just ignorant. Congrats.

Hint: note that the passage in question makes a left/right distinction re the cheek to be turned. Now go google it and learn something.

It really doesn't matter which cheek you keep getting slapped in, now does it. Many of us believe in slapping back, rather than hoping goodness will overcome our radical leftist enemies.

"Weakness begets aggression..." Now go and google that.

Um, yes, it does, actually. But you are welcome to revel in your ignorance if that's what makes you feel good about yourself, as you've been taught.

P.S. Comment moderation, JJR? Any particular reason or troll causing you to spend your time on such a chore?

Too bad the demos didn't get to keep God and Jeruselem out of their platform so the average voter would really know where they stand. Most of the demo politicians don't support those ideals anyway. Obummer forced the issue since he didnt want to look bad before an election. He has no interest in either God or the nation of Israel and has demonstrated that fact numerous times.
