The naughtiness of describing illegals as illegals spreads to Australia

Tony Abbott's [conservative leader] office has defended his continued use of the word "illegal" to describe asylum seeker boats by referring to the UN Refugee Convention. But the UN High Commissioner for Refugees says it does not use the word "illegal" to describe asylum boats, or encourage others to do so.

On Monday the Opposition Leader re-launched the Coalition's "illegal boats" billboards, used during the last election campaign. The billboards read: "How many illegal boats have arrived since Labor took over? 639 illegal boats. Labor has lost control of Australia's borders."

Reactions were swift, with a petition launched calling on Mr Abbott to apologise for the word.

But Mr Abbott's office referred to Article 31 of the UN Convention which states "contracting states shall not impose penalties, on account of their illegal entry or presence, on refugees".

There was a time when you could not migrate to Australia unless you could (first prove) that you had a "visible means" of supporting yourself when you arrived. That was before liberalism took over. It's truly sad what the people have allowed to happen to their country.

The travesty is much worse than that. Australia became independent in 1919, yet we've never had a referendum to validate the government and its legal basis. It is currently operating under British Law, illegaly. Oh dear, the "i" word. The present "government" is de facto, not de jure. It means that all the acts, taxes, executions, war declarations etc since 1919 are invalid. Let's kick the knaves out, perhaps by boat.

It is one of the oldest and most favored tactics of the Left to simply re-name any distasteful or destructive policy they want to push on the public. And the public, being weak, gullible, and mindless, always falls for it.

We call them "left". Throughout history, they are known by their fruits: Cain, Lamech, Sodomites, Canaanites, Assyrians, Babylonians, Persians, Greeks, Romans, Catholics, Muslims, Arminians....just about any time humans in power or seeking it display their basest lusts and inhumanity, it's a signpost for "leftist" behaviour. Just call them the unrighteous, the rebels, the wicked. Not that anyone other than God is righteous in an of themselves, but on the "left" we see man elevating himself as god (subcontracted to a certain third party that temporarily prefers to remain subtly incognito), and all the wonderful benefits that brings.

Oh Lord Anon 2:11 - where do you people get this crazy stuff from. I can't tell you how many times this specious line of reasoning has been rejected - and yet loonies will still try spouting this stuff in Court from time to time.
Try not paying your taxes for awhile and see how far your argument gets you.
As for the 'illegal boats', the boats are not illegal - the act of the passengers in entering the country without lawful basis is the illegal bit.
